Pet Talk – Parakeets

Here on Pet Talk I will tell you all about my little critters. These are my Parakeets. Introductions to follow! Enjoy the pictures and email us at ToyActsTwoSisters@gmail.com with inquiries if you are local.

All of my Morning Glory & McGyver babies were hatched in 5/2021, 8/2021, and 11/10/2021. Pops (only yellow/green from 5/2021) was the egg from Jasmine & MaGyver that Morning Glory raised.

All Jasmine & McGyver babies were hatched 6/12/2022 and 10/1/2022. Our 10/1/22 babies will not be ready for adoption until January 2023.

Currently, two white/purple (05/2021), one white/purple (08/2021), two white/purple (11/10/2021), two white/blue (11/10/2021), two yellow/green (06/2022), and one green/yellow (06/2022) are available for adoption.

My babies are hand tame and sweet. Most readily come to human hands bearing gifts (millet) and some even hop on when we are changing out food and look around like “okay, where is the treat, human?”

Parakeets are best in pairs as they are very social but singles will form that special bond with their human and even can be taught to talk! (Far more difficult in groups as they would rather chatter nonstop with their own kind)

Our babies are loved, gentled, and tended with care. Since parakeets need their mommy and daddy until they are about eight weeks old and sometimes longer, plus need time to develop a gentle disposition toward human caretakers, we delay adoption until after they are three months old. We also take in rescues!

My goal is to build my flight aviary soon and raise/rescue birdies to love.

We are in Saint Augustine, Florida.

We are asking a $30/each or $50/pair rehoming fee if you are looking to adopt. (please email to ToyActsTwoSisters@gmail.com and tell us about yourself for adoption interest)

Thank you!! Hope you love our pictures!
