New Adventure is Off

Tonight is the first night of our next big adventure!

We’ve moved again. Moving is always an adventure.  Fortunately, for us, it’s never been goodbye to all our friends. When I was young, it was always goodbye to our church, friends, and favorite places because we moved states. We are just leaving the bind of rent for the far more budget friendly owning.

The “American Dream” of home ownership is so far away from a working family without a mountain of debt that most can’t even sign on the dotted line for it. They end up stuck in rentals that they can’t afford either, watching their savings dwindle away as credit card debt mounts; this is our leap out of that spiral.  I pray we are that leg up to keep our children out of the same spiral.

For us, our adventure starts with our own slice of Florida, a bunk house we are fixing up, and an rv.

We loaded the uhaul full, our big crew had work, and left us with the “little muscles” (Jillian, who is not so little, Lucas, Thea, and Laud). We unloaded and set up a tiny resemblance of normal with the loft, bookcases, and table. (Couches are covered in clothes and stuffy bags)

We had to wait on everyone to get back for the piano and dad’s chair! Jaquline even said, “Where’s my piano?” (It seems to “belong” to whomever is in the mood to play it.)

We had dinner by torchlight (thr magnum torch flashlight standing on its butt) and prayed thanks to God for our food, family, His provision, and our home.

We moved the piano and chair in, cleaned the uhaul, and the big girls went out again for work.

This adventure allows us to have chickens again!! Jillian said she can’t wait for the avairy and chickens. I know being able to have chickens and grow food is something I’m excited for!

I’m so thankful!  My heart was so full watching most of my family gathered around our table in our bunkhouse for the first meal in our home (slightly unfinished, but its a work in progress) Thank you, Jesus, for our family! Thank you, Jesus, for our nest step!  Thank you for our new adventure!

Thank you for reading!

Type at you next time!
