What Is It?

What Is It?
Do you have a son?
I do.
Have you ever heard this yelped in a very over-excited voice that bounces off the walls of your house? “Mom! Can I kill it?”
Instantly, knowing my son, my brain shouts, “NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT!”
But…
Really I should ask, “what is it?”
Because if he says, “it’s a roach” or “it’s a mosquito” my answer should (and would) quickly be “YES! Please destroy it!”
If it is “a mom spider with a thousand babies on her back” my answer is “NOT INSIDE THE HOUSE!”
But if I hear “Can I kill it?” and the answer is “my annoying sister” my answer is “NO.” Usually it’s more of, “Lucas, does Jesus want you ro kill your sister?” That’s normally a grunt, “no” and “but Jesus didn’t have 6 sisters telling him what to do!” (To which we normally discuss alternate ways of leaving them alone or not allowing them to annoy us.)
In the life of any boy-mom, the answer to the question, “what is it?” determines your response to the question of “Mom! Can I kill it?”
There’s an ad going on the TV right now… and part of it says, “…forces a woman to carry her attacker’s baby…” trying to get us to agree that it’s okay to murder the innocent baby for the crimes of the father.
Basically the government is asking, “can we kill it?”
I say, “what is it?”
The ad says “a woman’s attacker’s baby,” the language in amendment 4 on the 2024 ballot for Florida says any preborn child without clarification for age or reason meaning legally any baby in the womb from conception to live birth.
I say, “NO!”
I agree that a crime has happened when a woman is raped.
I agree that the rapist should be punished.
I do not agree that the child in the womb deserves to be chemically burned, ripped apart, or otherwise tortured to death for the crime of the father.. (Research it!) Our modern society doesn’t even allow the rapist to be tortured in the way we medically kill unborn children!
I do not agree that the baby gets the
Simple, if the government asks, “can I kill it?” ask, “what is it?”
Mosquitoes? Yes. (not that I’m a fan of the poisons and choose to use plants and oils for us)
Invaders trying to kill us? Yes.
Convicted murderers? Yes (God gave the power of the sword to the government after the flood to restrain the evils of men).
Old people? No.
Sick people? No
Children? No.
A baby at any stage of development? No.
Wait! Even if half of the DNA belongs to a convicted rapist? No.
Make sure your vote reflects this understanding. Coloring in that dot is to agree to kill a pre-born child at any stage of fetal development regardless of circumstance. READ the Amendment text! If you read that amendment carefully, it does not have any time, fetal age, or circumstance restriction – even though the ads would have you think it’s only going to be used to allow murder of a child for their father’s crime or to sacrifice their life for their mother’s.
When someone asks, “can I kill it?” you need to ask “what is it?” in order to give an accurate response.
Yes, I’m political when it comes to protecting life and freedom. I was in an packed auditorium sometime in the 90s when the speaker had every fourth person stand up. He said that’s how many abortions to live births that happened in 1990 to 1993. For every abortion, there were three live births. (I remember looking it up with my Daddy because I didn’t believe it. Live Births. Abortions. 1.4million per year: 4.0 million per year rounded is 1:3. research). He said each person standing represented a child who was missing from our world. That image: that sea of people missing because their mothers were persuaded to kill them is burned in my brain forever.
Voting is our privilege and I take it seriously. I just say RESEARCH!! For Amendment 4, please ask what is the government wanting your permission to kill? That answer is there in the text; a pre-born child without restriction. If you value human life, answer should be “No.”
